HER FOTOĞRAFIN BİR(ÇOK) HİKAYESİ VAR MIDIR?

Bu yıl üçüncüsü düzenlenen RAMP[A] sergisi Medya ve Görsel Sanatlar Bölümü’nün üç dersinin (Yaratıcı Fotoğraf, Medya Yazarlığı ve Senaryo Yazarlığı) öğrencilerinin ortak çalışmasıyla hazırlandı.

2012 Güz döneminde Yaratıcı Fotoğraf dersini alan öğrencilerin fotoğraflarından 29 üçlü seri kurgulandı. Bir seriyi oluşturan fotoğraf üçlüsünün her biri farklı öğrenciler tarafından çekildi. Serginin henüz sözle buluşmamış olan ilk (görsel) kurgusu bu şekilde oluşturulurken, (varsa) saklı hikayeleri de ilk etapta böylesi bir kurgu ile yazılmış oldu. 

 Bu çalışmaya, 2013 Bahar döneminde Senaryo Yazarlığı ve Medya Yazarlığı öğrencileri de katıldılar. Öğrenciler üçlü fotoğraf serilerini kendileri seçerek çağrışımları üzerinden sırasıyla monolog, diyalog ve sahne yazdılar.  Her seri için farklı bir senaristin kaleminden çıkan senaryonun içinden fotoğraflara eşlik eden metinler gebe an (pregnant moment) gözetilerek seçildi.

Görüntüde saklı olan hikayelerin sadece birinin sahibi olabilen yazar o fotoğrafa bildiği, tanıdığı ya da tamamiyle yabancısı olduğu, hayal olarak kurguladığı, kıyıda köşede kalmış, hiç dokunulmamış ve izleyicinin okumasını bölecek bir(çok) ayrıntının peşinden giderek bir söz uçurduğunda da çoğalabilir mi bir görüntü?

Fotoğrafın anlıkmış gibi duran aurası tek bir hikayeden nefes almaya, yaşamaya başlıyor olabilir mi?

Görüntüde Hofmannsthal’ın ifadesiyle, “hiç yazılmamış olanı okumak” mümkün müdür?

Bu ortak sergi  böyle bir sorgulamayı başlatma fikrinden hareketle oluştu.

Bu sergide yer alan fotoğraflar yeni yazarlarını, hiç akla gelmemiş kurgu ya da hayallerle yeniden yazılmayı bekliyor olabilirler mi?

EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY… OR MANY?

The third RAMP[A] exhibition combines three classes offered by Media and Visual Arts department (Creative Photography, Writing for Media and Scriptwriting.)

29 series have been put together showcasing the works of students who took Creative Photography in Fall 2012.  Each one of the photos in the trio belongs to a separate student photographer.  The line-up of three pictures already visually forms an untold story, without words. 

In Spring 2013, students who took Script Writing and Writing for Media were involved in this collaboration.  Inspired by a chosen work in the series, each student was asked to first write a monologue, then a dialogue, then a scene and some finally wrote their own screenplay.  The accompanying text was chosen from the synopsis and screenplay pool pertaining to each assigned pairing with the guiding principle of a “pregnant moment.”

The author is the owner of only one of the stories that are visible to the eye, attributing the picture a piece of fiction from his or her own imagination.  But we are wondering if each pair of eyes isn’t another author, always fictionalizing…  Is your picture dividing and multiplying now that you are reading these stories?  

Therefore can the instantaneous work of fiction that is photography begin to breathe in its own aura and live in the momentum of the birth of these singular stories?  

or, As Hofmannsthal said, is it possible to visibly  “read what has never been written before?”

This collaborative exhibition stems from these questions. 

These pictures may be waiting for new scripts and “never been told before” narratives!
